Motoring History in West Berkshire
This talk describes some of the motoring history of the Kennet Valley, from the birth of the motor car to the modern era.
Join Tim Green as he also discusses some of the businesses and characters from the motor trade between Theale in the east through Thatcham and Newbury to Marlborough in the west.
Tim has always had an interest in ‘old stuff’ of all kinds, ranging from collecting prehistoric flints to recording events and histories from the 1930’s and ’40’s. Tim with Roger Day were the founder members of The Kennet Valley at War Trust and together wrote the very well received book, A Motoring History of the Kennet Valley.
This talk is free to members of Berkshire Family History Society but we request a donation of £5 from non-members.

Along with fellow founder member of The Kennet Valley at War Trust, Roger Day, he collected a vast wealth of motoring related material, much but not all of which is featured in their very well received book.
